The Larson Family at FWC

Joseph Larson & his family all the way from Baton Rouge, Louisiana, come to minister at FWC Portia. Joseph Larson is apart of the Family Worship Center Worship team and preaches as part of the Jimmy Swaggart Ministries. He has been coming to Portia to minister for over 18 years. He attended with his father his very first trip to FWC Portia. Joseph brought his wife and six children this most recent visit. His children even joined him on the stage to minister in song. It is a blessing every time Joseph comes to town and now especially when his family joins him! Go to FWC Portia on Facebook to watch the streamed services.

Pumpkin Decorating Contest!

On Family Day, FWC held a Pumpkin Decorating contest as a fundraiser for the church building fund. There were 30 pumpkins entered into this contest. All of the congregation was able to vote $1 per vote, and the entry with the most votes won! Congratulations to Cami Tweedy at $147 votes with Pinocchio Pumpkin! Total amount raised was $815, so we thank everyone who participated in this contest!

FWC Fall Fellowship

On Sunday evening, Oct. 5th, we gathered together at Autumn Woods for fun, food, and fellowship! Adults and kiddos played games and rode hayrides. It is always a wonderful time to get together as times like this!

Memorial Day Weekend

On Memorial Day weekend, our congregation gathered to honor and remember the brave men and women who gave their lives in service to our country. The service opened with a moment of silence and prayer, followed by the singing of patriotic hymns and scripture readings focused on sacrifice, hope, and peace. A special tribute recognized local veterans and families of the fallen.

Ignite Connection Night!

The Ignite Connection Night was a fun-filled evening of laughter, fellowship, and friendly competition. Teens came together for a few exciting rounds of bowling, arcade games, enjoying snacks, and great company. The event provided a relaxed environment for teens to connect with one another and build stronger relationships in a faith-centered setting. It was a fantastic night of bonding, encouragement, and wholesome fun—one we look forward to repeating soon!
